Farrar & Ball, LLP file suit against bus driver on methadone and methamphetamines who ran over and killed 10 year old girl...
Oxnard, California - Edith Luna was walking to school on the morning of March 9, 2006. As she negotiated the cross-walk at a four-way stop, a school bus operated by Durham School Services, the second largest school bus company in the United States, struck Edith and thereafter ran over her with its rear wheels. Edith did not survive.
Mrs. Maria Ignacio Luna retained Farrar & Ball, LLP to obtain answers and determine the cause of this tragic accident. It was soon thereafter discovered that at the time of the accident the school bus operator was under the influence of methadone and methamphetamine, in addition to being a recovering heroin addict. Farrar & Ball, LLP filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Durham School Services and the driver. The driver had worked for Durham School Services for less than three weeks. The case is ongoing and is currently pending in Ventura County, California.
